Fluffy Teddy Bear Knitting Pattern

This knitted teddy bear is worked flat using basic shaping and simple finishing techniques. The body, head and legs are worked as one piece, with separate arms, ears, snout and soles sewn on at the end. The pattern is suitable for textured or fluffy yarns and creates a soft, traditional teddy bear shape.

Skill Level - Easy to Intermediate

Suitable for confident beginners who are comfortable with knit and purl stitches, basic increases and decreases, and simple sewing up.

Materials Needed -

- Chunky or textured yarn (fuzzy alpaca was used in the original bear)

- 4mm knitting needles (straight or circular)

- Stitch holders (optional)

- Darning needle

- Stuffing or scrap yarn

- Yarn for embroidery

- Buttons or safety eyes

Customisation -

This pattern is easy to customise by changing yarn type, colour, or stuffing. Facial features can be embroidered or made using safety eyes or buttons, and the overall size of the bear will vary depending on yarn choice and tension.
